The Trinity

Do you know that Mormon’s believe that if you are good enough when you die, you can become your own god of your own planet, and when you have children they would be gods too? Kind weird right.

I thought I understood the trinity until I researched it and read a HUGE stack of articles, it was mind blowing, it literally made my head spin.

1.So let just first establish there is ONE God.

 Isaiah 44:6-8 says

““This is what the Lord says— Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God. Who then is like me? Let him proclaim it. Let him declare and lay out before me what has happened since I established my ancient people, and what is yet to come— yes, let them foretell what will come. Do not tremble, do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago? You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one.””

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭44:6-8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

And another:

Isaiah 45:5

“I am the Lord, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me,”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭45:5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

2: Why can’t we fully understand the trinity?

This is hard, for some of us because we like to understand everything, we like to be in control. And if we don’t understand it we can’t control it.

Just think about it if us humans could understood God, then we would be on the same level as God, and if we are on the same level as God then why can’t I be God, what dose he have that I don’t. Do you get the picture? God on a completely different level then us.

3: Simple

I am the kinda person , that likes the simplest form. Cut and dry.

So when I found this analogy i was pretty happy,

I am a sister, daughter, and friend. But I am one person

Each title comes with different responsibilities.

Let me expand one this, as a sister: I am here to encourage my brothers and sister, and be there for them, as a daughter, I am under my parents leadership (for now). And as a friend, I am here to spur each other towards Christ, and to encourage each other when we fall. But get this.....I am one person.

It’s kinda the same thing with the Trinity

The Father made us, The son saved us, and the Holy Spirit Helps us. All in  one but in different roles.

Each one of them as it’s different roles in our life,

God made us, Jesus saved us, and the Holy Spirit helps us...they each have separate roles.

So in conclusion,

  1. We have established there is one God
  2. We answered why we can’t understand the Trinity
  3. We explained it in the simplest form

I feel like we can get to wrapped up in, trying to understand what we can’t understand, when what we can understand is simple

The Father made us, The son saved us, and the Holy Spirit Helps us. All in  one but in different roles.

When you try and put an infinite God in our little brains your are going to have some spills, you can never understand him, that’s called mystery.

Thank you any questions?
