Forgiveness

We are going to talk about something that can be really hard......FORGIVENESS! 

We ALL have stories about how we have been hurt by people, maybe they repented then did it again, maybe didn’t repent at all, or maybe they changed their way but their actions still hurt (deep).

“For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

But one thing that I have found it is hard to let go of that hurt....to forgive and forget! 

But as Christians we are call to forgive others like Christ has forgiven us. I have heard that life is like a big house, it has many doors w/locked doors..... but we have the keys to unlock any door. Do you see how this applies?

We have the key to forgive, and in forgiveness we display Christ character (like we talked about before). 

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:17, 19-21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Un forgiveness is the opposite of Love which is Hate which is the opposite of Christ.
